How to unplug THIS connector ? ( pic inside )

Hi ,

Anyone knows how to unplug the ribbon cable out of this connector ( Gateway 450ROG ) ?



Never seen one like this before and it looks fragile .

it pulls right out. to put it back it, just line it up, then press down. nothing to it

Thanks , you are right , I found it out by mistake trying to fiddle with it .

Are you familier with Gateway 450ROG by any chance ?

I had screen interference , then freezing after 1-5 minutes ( not a heat issue ) , could it be the power board ( tried to clean and re-seat it , didn't help ) ?

1. It happened on battery power as well .
2. I hear a low humm from that area even when its off .
3. Only the reset hole will sometimes allow me to boot again for another short time .

is it the actual ac adapter that is bad? ive seen those over heat before and cause the unit to lose power
