Also, I'm selling my laptop on ebay. If you guys are interested search dell laptop and it's a featured laptop.
Spike you sent me the tutorials but the chasis tutorial was not included. I pmed you about it after you sent an email but never replied back. I also am confused about the part number for the hard drive caddy. I remember reading that the d800 and 8600 are different caddys but I never saw the part number.

The D800 part # is 3C453 and the 8600 part # is 6X610

Unfortunatly that is the one tutorial I was looking for. Does anyone else have it and can send it to me? That would be awesome.

CAN ANYONE HELP ME
i HAVE A 600M 1.6 WITH 1GB OF RAM AND I INSTALLED RIGHMARK CPU CLOCK AND IT ONLY GIVES ME 600MHZ NOT 1.6 WHAT SHOULD I DO AND HOW CAN I GET THIS TO WORK AT 1.6
post #1068 of 1095
I want to stab myself in the face after reading that. Anywho, 600mhz is just SpeedStep doing it's job, it'll throttle to 1600mhz when your computer needs it. Nothing to worry about.

Just an fyi, typing in caps is associated with "yelling" in internet talk to please refrain unless you mean to yell.

An electoral victor and popular vote loser has only happened twice in over 50 Presidential elections. It is hardly a problem, other than people ignorant of our system not understanding the results.

You might want to also familiarize yourself with the Security Council rules and how resolutions are handled. The Iraq war was legal and nobody that understands how the UN works and is being honest has said otherwise. Was it a wise war, I think that is a very good question?

I apologize to the other readers of this forum, I realize politics has no place here, but blatant ignorance bothers me.

I have seriously considered cracking open my 710m and adding a bluetooth adaptor. Would be relatively simple to wire one of those tiny bluetooth adaptors found cheap on eBay. Only reason I haven't is I don't want to lose one of only 2 USB ports, and that I don't want to void the remaining year of my 2yr CompleteCare warranty.

Anyone tried adding one? There are a few spaces that could fit 3 bluetooth adaptors. Dell can't say there was no room for one, because there was more than enough.

y don't you get a internal bluetooth card. also you know how to wire stuff into the usb. how would you go about doing something like that. because when i get my laptop this spring i want to somehoow wire a capture device into the laptop so i do not have to carry it around. if you could please tell me how to do something like that would be great.
Because the 710m never had an internal bluetooth card. Hooking one up would be fairly easy I should think. 4 wires soldered onto the USB port pins then soldered onto the pins on the bluetooth adaptor.

Your capture card would be a lot harder to fit inside the case. I doubt very much it is possible. The bluetooth adaptor is very small and very thin, whereas a capture card would be a lot bigger.

well with the bigger one i would take the cover off. the other is a usb cable sorta of thing with the s video and the av cables on the end. i guess i will have to wait till i get them to see how to do it.

Check your gmail for my email. Gmail has a limit on the file attachment size so it bounced since the tutorial file size is slightly larger than gmail's file size limit. I resent an email with my link to download them.

You could try epoxy putty to seal the gaps...
