What is the world coming to? A dude is selling a nearly identical e1705 for $1500 and has tons of replies. Whats up?

I would have already purchased it, but I want WUXGA and bluetooth. Is it possible to swap my WUXGA i9300 monitor and bluetooth module with this one? Is the FSB 667 or 533? That is a Yonah core correct?

Welll.... maybe, with a commitment to drop the price 5% every 48 hours, people are waiting to see.... how low it'll go?..... But it's a pretty good price on the M90... with four gigs of RAM.... very nice card for CAD/3D rendering..... But it's a workstation class machine..... I think most folks in this forum (not all) are gamers.... Here's deal breakers for me. (1) IMO: The screen res is way low for the machine (I'd want WUXGA at 17"), but I'd prefer a 15" screen, not a 17", for portability.... also.... drives are cheap now, so it's an easy upgrade --but you still need to add them.... 7200 is the right spin, but, 80gigs is a little small (I work with files that are sometimes a gig in size)... and I've got 40 gigs of apps loaded.... With a restore partition, swap files, etc.... it doesn't leave much room (2) and no bluetooth.... once you get used to that. it's nice.... I love my bluetooth mouse , and especially the headset....NO WIRES!!! I can getup and rock out LOUD and dance around my office at 3am and not wake up the GF (3) Maybe.... no paypal..... I dunno.... (4) Or it's Xmas.... so lower end or more consumer items are a hotter ticket..... cameras, DVD-recorders, big screen TV's, MP3 players, etc.... you know...Xmas presents for the family If you live in a city served by "craigslist.org", you might try that...... If someone can drive over to your place, boot it up, test it, then give you the cash and drive the machine home KNOWING it works--it's an easier transaction FWIW: In terms of 4 gigs RAM.... Even running WinXP-32bit and all it's limitations..... I can state that having 3 gigs of RAM is GREAT.....I have well over two full gigs completely available just for apps, --so if you run a lot of apps, or deal in really big files like I do --it's way cool.... if you move to 64 bit, you'll certainly want all four gigs. Not a bad deal.... I just don't need a another new 'puter.... good luck

The e1705 has bluetooth.
Your screen should work but i think you have to keep the invertor from the e1705. (search the dell 17" forum)
It is 667 fsb.

The m90 only has 1 gig of ram.
As for gaming this m90 has the highest 3dmark05 score out of any dell laptop on the forums with 10250 points, stable.

I accept paypal.

Not to say that your card isn't good (it is a great card) but it's not fair to claim the highest score when you get to run the test at a lower resolution.... (The standard scores are taken at 1280x1024).....
That's an FYI and FWIW to both you and those looking at your systems....

3dMark05 is run at the same resolution (1024x768) no matter what screen you have. 06 is the one that changes. Link

The card is equivalent to a 7900gtx.

Price dropped by the way.

I sent you a PM yesterday, I am on my way to work once again, please respond and I will try to check it via my PPC.

Thanks

I stand corrected, your '05 score is fair (and very good).

Good luck on the sale
