HELP can i repair my Dented macbook pro?

hi there, my friend and i both have dents in out macbook pro aluminum cases... is there any ways to change the outside case? can i buy a new one or can i take it to somewhere like scotsys and get them to fix it there an then- as i can't afford to loose it for more than like a day or two just now... or could i buy a chassis thing and replace it myself... it's only like a few weeks old so im still in warranty... thanks for any help

dents are not warrantied, so youll have to buy it yourself, or pay someone to fix it.

look on ebay for the parts, should be around. post a pic of the dent, im curious to see what got you freaked!

ok will post some pics tomoz- i've been looking around all night and found that a good solution would be to remove the aluminum and GENTLY hammer out the dents lol. thanks

yea thatll work. wont look perfect, but itll look damn better then spending money on a dent

take it to an auto body repair shop and have them try their suction method of popping out the dent...I doubt it will work, but it might be worth a try. There were resellers (PBParts and others) selling cases and more for the PowerBooks...you can google for MBP parts...but the top cases are pretty expensive...

I dented my first PowerBook in the first week I had it, and cried everytime I looked at it...so know how you feel.

lol i looked everywhere but the only things i could ind were either american and will not ship or well- i think there was one and it was like £150 lol so the not-perfect hammered case will do lol- will be a conversational point lol thanks for the help

doesn't look like thay have the casing for the screen however, if that's what u r looking for. u'd have to contact them and see if they ship internationally.
