Few questions on the XPS/9100

Hey guys.

I was just able to get a new laptop for work, which just happened to be a Insprion 9100! anyways i got a 3.2 gightz, the standard 40 gig HD, and 512 ram, and the 128 - ATI 9700. all for free

Anyways to get that thing aproved, i had to dumb down the ram and the hard drive. I was looking at dells site, and they currently dont offer any upgrades for this model yet. anyways I came across this Geil Golden Dragon 200 pin 512 DDR SO-DIMM PC-3200(DDR400) ram on new egg for $113.00. I was wondering if the DDR slots in the XPS/9100 are 200 pin... What stinks is the 512 in the system is going to be 2 sticks, using both slots

Also with the HD, GameVE.com has the 60 gig 7200 hita/ibm hard drive for 210ish I think, which i'm also thinking about getting to replace the 40 gig in there (use as a back up). I wonder if this stuff would work.. I dont know much about laptops, but this laptop will be used more for gaming then actual work

That RAM should work. When dell doesn't list the specs, you can go to crucial.com and use their memory finder to find the exact type you need. I would also recommend buying from them if you want good quality stuff. And, no, I don't work for them.

Not sure about the HD though, but it looks right.
