gimp?

Picasa, or Gimp. Gimp works fine for photos in the digital domain though has little to no CMYK support at the moment I believe. Not sure if Picasa has CMYK or not.

At either rate, Gimp is the closest you will get while Picasa I believe I Was told is more user friendly.

Krita (in linux) is much easier to use than gimp and looks and feels much more like photoshop. I still use gimp... it's anything but fun.

Last I tried Krita I wasn't to impressed myself, maybe it has improved since then as it has been a while I believe.

Of course I will be sticking with gimp due to being able to use it on my Linux and Mac machines both, and not having to deal with KDE libs

Well I found a few Paint.Net and Pixia their ok, but need one with a pretty good tutorial and more user friendly. I'll try gimp thanks for the replies.

I didn't get to play with krita much myself, but I like the UI MUCH more than gimp. I had an important project I needed to work on and I couldn't find all the features I needed quickly enough in krita. I'm slowly getting used to gimp's quirk's, but it's been a struggle to say the least.

Hmm haven't had to many problems myself, even switching between gimpshop and gimp I haven't had to many problems, though I will admit I am slower than I need to be.
