Searching for 9800 series disassemby assistance

Hi Guys...

I've been searching the threads all morning and haven't found any information on disassembly of a 9860/9880/9890/D900T.

I'm looking to do a simple upgrade to my 9890. I just bought a 2nd DVD-RW media drive and would like to install it myself instead of sending the 9890 in to Sager. I know many many of you have taken apart a 9800 series(D9 series). Any info or disassembly intruction threads is what I'm looking for. The Sager is running perfect and I hate to do cosmetic damage all because I didn't know how to take the 9890 apart.

Hope someone out there can help.

If you contact Sager directly at 1-800-669-1624 or on the support page at Sagernotebook.com they can supply you with a detailed guide that even has pictures for most models.

Hi Charles... Thanks for the advice but does it matter I'm not the original owner. I got this 9890 off of Ryu1976 here in the forums cause he wanted to move on to a different laptop. I have not had any issues with the 9890 and am very happy. So happy I wanted to add the 2nd drive and possibly upgrade the RAM to 3GB (2.83GB). I didn't know if Sager is like Alienware....where if your not the original owner, you may as well not call....cause they won't help you. Thanks again for your input. U.N.inspector

No worries, everything is transferable and Sager will offer tech support to any owners no matter where they purchased from. Also that is a direct line so you shouldnt have to deal with any call back systems or anything.
