Greetings to all
I own an amilo 3438 laptop and i managed to break the volume scroll wheel on the side of the laptop. Since then sound is almost mute (i can almost hear it from the laptop speakers). I was lucky to have a good Fedora core instalation on an another partition with preinstalled alsa sound drivers. For a strange reason the alsa drivers totally overide the external volume control and i can tweak the pcm volume. Is there any way to do this on windows xp? I tried opening up the laptop yesterday to try to fix it, but after i unscrewed all the screws i couldn't remove the bottom (was too scared to use force)...
any suggestions? thnx in advance
