I felt a little adventureous and put vista x64 rc1 on my 4750/d470k. it would crash continuously with a "video hardware error". put ati's latest catalyst driver on. seems to made it worse.
went back to xp sp2. SAME PROBLEM. the video wasn't crashing my system before I put on vista at all! it would crash when it got too hot but thats it. now it can't do 3dmark for even thirty seconds. I tried clevo's driver's, sager's drivers, and even eurocom's. I have 2.04a BIOS on.
would try vista rc2, but my dvd burner isn't working.
if the gpu is bad the whole MoBo has to go. $500 bucks that I ain't got.
any suggestions on speific driver config?
I'm willing to go linux if it'll solve my problem!
THANX
