Newbie here, so plz be patient.
For the last two or three days I've desperately tried to make M2TW work on my Aspire 5024WLMI.
After first installation, everything worked perfectly but the day after the game crashed after a few seconds in the campaign map (black screen).
My brother comes home from college, installs the (pretty awesome) game and I realize to my great dismay that on HIS 5024WLMI the game works perfectly!
After that I've changed mostly everything and I'm pretty clueless.
Considered that I never upgraded anything since I bought it last December, I've changed XP Home with WinXP Professional, installed the Catalyst 6.11 drivers and now the game works ONLY on batteries!
As soon as I plug in the AC, the game crashes in 10 seconds, the screen goes black and the laptop stops responding to any command.
I've checked everything and the only difference between my laptop and my brother's is XP Pro service pack 2 (Windows Update gives me a strange error and refuses to install it even if the OS is 100% legit).
I wonder now, can it depend only on SP2 or is a hardware problem more likely?
Any help greatly appreciated, I'm almost freaking out.
