LG tablet LT20 blank screen / how2 take it apart ?

Hi ,

I got this one off Ebay for fun , the internal screen wouldn't work ( everything else seems fine since its working with external ) .

1. Any ideas what could be the problem ?

2. Its already half in parts yet I'm stuck at the hinge level , it seems you cant remove the palm rest until you remove the screen assembly but I can't figure out how to remove the screen assembly ( bezel off but the screen is connected under the palm rest ) , any ideas ?

Already reassembled back a 12" M205 tablet but this one is much harder .

Did you ever figure out how to remove the screen from your LT20? I'm having the same problem.

You can try this ...

1)Turn the unit upside down.

2) Remove the battery.

3) Remove one screw securing the hard drive cover and one screw securing the memory card cover.

4) Remove all covers.

5) Remove the laptop hard drive disk.

6) Remove the memory modules.

7) Remove all marked screws on the bottom of the laptop.

8) Turn the laptop right side up. Insert a thin object under the securing strip and lift it up. Be careful, it may be very tight.

9) Remove the keyboard securing strip.

10) Remove two screws securing the keyboard.

11) Turn the keyboard over and place it on the palm-rest upside down.

12) Disconnect the flat keyboard cable on the system board and remove the keyboard.

13) Disconnect the notebook touchpad cable on the system board.

14) Disconnect the LED board cable on the system board.
