I just bought a xps 1210 and...

I got a 48month payment plan, I am probably gonna pay it off in a month or two, just making sure i wont be charged the interest for the full 48 month duration. I talked to the sales guy last week and i believe he said it was ok.

how should I know this? I fix computers all day, I dont sell them, or have anything to do with sales. I didnt even know much this thing was gonna cost me till i configured it. on the other hand i know a lot about computer hardware and software, and can diagnose almost any computer problem within a short period of time. it's like when i used to cook food at a restaurant, I could make any dish on the menu with my eyes closed, but ask me how much each plate was worth, and i would give an unintelligible guess at best.

Saying that he should know it, doesn't help him/her if he does not know it. But to the matter, I believe that the right people to help you is the billing department, who know how the payment plans are handled. Just try to get someone from there on the phone line.
