What's the stock score for a GTX normally? (T2400 processor, 1G ram).

I get 6299 with my 1500M/T2400, is there any real benefit in flashing to a 7900gs, or is it merely a path to get to gsx speeds ?

There may or may not be a benefit to this at this point. Basically what you are doing is taking away the CAD Rendering/OpenGL functions from the GPU and turning it into a gaming card. Its my opinion that the Quadro cards should be flashed with the Quadro BIOS - i.e. flash your 1500M with the 2500M BIOS. Thats all the GS guys are doing to get a GSX. So I personally believe that the 2500M BIOS would give you similar results to what our GSX mod is giving us, with the added benefit of keeping the CAD functions intact. Keep in mind that its not the GPU itself that makes a Quadro a Quadro. Its the surrounding architecture of the board that supplements the core and makes it optimized for OpenGL. By flashing the BIOS to that of a GTX you are simply subtracting those additional functions. So, try the 2500M BIOS first and see what kind of clocks it will allow you to hit. Then try the GTX BIOS and see if you can really get higher clocks and scores.

hey if this helps anyone .... i think the quadro and the 7900GS (gtx as well) are all basically the same its just the matter of flashing the bios for whats needed. I flashed my 7900GS to a GTX using the mod ISO and now in certain areas my card reports its a Quadro NVS 510 or something like that. However after flashing from the GS bios to the GTX bios my card has been running better then ever (knock on wood)

so excuse my noobness, what are default clocks for a 2500 and I'll firstly make sure my 1500 will run at said speeds before attemting the flash

Is there a thread with the 2500M bios iso or do I need to make my own? I've searched but no luck finding it.

Right here, I managed to snag it from an overseas forum a while back and everyone has been using it since...

Let us know how it fares. This is just the stock BIOS, so if you want to overclock with it you will need to create your own roms. Good luck.

No difference with the 2500M bios, 7200 just like the GTX bios.

I figured that... What I was wondering is if the 2500M BIOS will allow you to hit 600/800 clocks like the GTX BIOS does to the GS.
