Best external HDD for Dell e1705 laptop?

I will be buying a E1705 laptop with a 80GB 7200RPM HDD which will be enough internally but I would like a big external storage device as well. Any suggestions on something reliable and cheap but good quality?

this is assuming you are living in canada/us where we have futureshop or bestbuy. all of those external disk are fine and when they have sales its pretty cheap. i got myself a WD500GB one

The rest of the weekend through sunday, Radioshack has a Maxtor 160 GB 7.2k Ext. HDD for 70 bucks after INSTANT rebates So if you can find one its a good deal. I picked up one today while I was there since I work there anyways lol

I ordered an E1705 with 100GB 7200RPM, and ended up getting a 500GB Seagate SATAII internal HDD from Fry's for $150 ( newegg.com have em now on sale for same price )and a SATA enclosure for $35. Usually when you buy prebuilt external harddrives, they only come with 1-2 years warrenty whereas if you buy a Seagate internal one or Western digital, you get 3 year warrenty for the western digital and 5 year warrenty for the Seagate one and save a $100 too.

I just got a Macally external enclosure with a 320 GB hard drive for a total of about $150 off newegg. I think it's a pretty good deal.
