This really isnt tech support so I'm posting it here.

My friend wants to clean out the keyboard on her 5100. Can someone show how to do this?

With the laptops ive worked on, the keyboard comes off in 1 of 2 ways..

1:Plastic piece stretching the length of the keyboard right above it usually where lights are will pops off easily with small flat-head screwdriver

2: at very top of keyboard there will be some small clips that just need to be pushed up with a small flat-head screwdriver.. they keyboard should pop up after this

I used canned air, a toothpick, and many many q-tips to clean my keyboards.. if the keyboard is REALLY bad, might as well buy a new one.. about 20-50$ depending where u buy it..

Canned air is good for dust and debris if were talking about dead skin and particles jammed underneath you should invest in a new keyboard
