Looking through the local Best Buy I found a Compaq V2710 that was discounted... Here's the stats.
AMD Sempron 3100+ 1.8Ghz 256kb L2 Cache
1024 MB DDR2
60GB HD
8x DL DVD-RW
And the rest of the basics..
I was wondering if anyone had any opinions about this specific model, Sempron processors or anything else about Compaq quality. I've been doin some reading about this processor in general and most have good things to say.
Basically what I need it for is sitting in my chair, doing some web stuff, ripping and burning DVDs. No gaming, no video editing or anything of that nature. I also wouldnt mind upgrading to Vista when its released, will this unit handle it?
