I'm investigating the possibility of trading/selling my Dell E1705.

Intel Dual Core 1.66 ghz processor
2 gigs of Dell RAM, 566 mhz
UGXA screen
NVIDIA 7900
1 year basic warranty (can't get Complete Care due to living in FL)

I would either sell it, or trade it towards a gaming desktop.

Looking for $1750 (is that a good price to ask?)

Any takers?

Youre asking too much IMHO. Im trying to sell mine with a 2.0ghz and a 512mb 7900 GTX, and 667ram for a bit less than your asking, and still no one wants to buy it.

Good luck with your sale though, im trying to sell for the same reason.

I actually think that is a bit too high too; my laptop has the same specs, except a 3 year warranty, and I paid a hundred less than that when I bought it new in July. I would say its probably not worth more than $1500 but thats just my opinion, it really depends on the person.

A core 2 duo or a 64-bit processor
2 gigs of ram
7900 series or better (8800 anyone? ) or a ATI 1900 series or better
(sli is a plus!)
no monitor needed
nice soundcard

That give you a small idea of what I'm looking for?

Well, I have that gigabyte core2duo-ready mobo already, but it only has one PCI-e and doesn't support the 7950gx2, so you won't be able to get SLI on it... ATI card would probably work the best.

Nah, if i was going to get a desktop, I wouldn't want to have to reupgrade to SLI later in the future.

I think I'll pass, unless theres an offer I can't refuse...
