Has anyone added Arctic Silver to their DV2000t?

Does doing this void your warranty?

Thanks,
Ryan

I have the 12-cell battery so it is a little better in terms of ventilation. The only thing that gets warm is the left palm area due to the hard drive. its not that big of a deal though because its always chilly in my room and my hands get cold so it helps out actually.

Listening to music, word processing, instant messaging and internet browsing yields about a 110 F temperature.

I was just wondering if anyone did this because on my Dell M170, it dropped the temps a lot!!!!

YES... anything beyond "upgrading" the RAM, or the HARD DRIVE thru the access panels will VOID the warranty.

Put yourself in the shoes of the mfg for a minute (YOU having to pay warranty claims out of YOUR pocket)..

Would you allow people to "open", disassemble completely a item that have not undergone "Factory Service" level training.... and then honor the warranty?

(Answer is NO)
