Replacement Status Question - Page 2

wow after trying get a 7900 gs I got a retarded rep who kept saying ati x1400 and the 7800 go was the only replacement that works with the e1705, and in the end he just kept wanting to send me the 7800 gtx go. Didn't even understand that the x1400 only has 128 mb dedicated memory. So fustrated. Ugh contacted another rep and he kept saying the ati x1400 is built into the motherboard.

x1400 is 256 mb, but its not built into the motherboard. the gs should be on par with what you had.

what did the 7800gtx get you on 3dmark 06? the x1400 get about 850.

the 7900gs safely overlocked is on par with the 7900gtx as you may have seen on posts here.

Im just trying to get a 7900 gs , but for some reason they keep saying the mobo only accepts the x1400 or some shit like that it's really fustrating me cause I keep telling them the 7900 gs will fit as well.

Not too much of an upgrade, since I was hoping for 2ghz Merom in there, but hell, M to merom upgrade is great, but of course that is no longer the order because they lost it, and dell is so far giving me a $50 coupon so I would also expect somewhat of an upgrade from the first replacement, should be interesting

Upgraded the HD, DVD Drive, CPU and Ram....downgraded my display and battery....gave me the comp card as I had the 6800 though it could be considered upgraded of course

Gotta call and complain about the display and battery once I receive it. Which display do you guys prefer? The WUXGA or the WXGA+? They are giving me a LG display. I am afraid if I get the UXGA it would be the Samsung....I have had BAD luck with the Samsungs.

WUXGA is almost always a LG, so i would suggest argueing for one, i truly hope i get one as an upgrade from my current WXGA

Those are some nice specs, at least both of you got 7900 gs. After taling with 6 different reps they esclated my issue to headquarters and they will be giving me a call. I hope these people actually know the performance difference between an x1400 and a 7800 gtx

I called on the 22nd. My order went in today at 1 AM so 1 week and 2 days (7 business days)

Well, mine was downgraded after they lost my first one, so dell will have some fun complaints to deal with tonight!

i have 2 replacements, 1st one took like 10 days, after that the 2nd one which i complaint the problem BSOD is still there, they quickly send me another one within 3 days.

man, i just got the word they will replace my m170, i have the gtx so i will be pissed off if they send me one with a gs, i assume i will get a m1710. i know it is much better than the old m170 no matter what but i will still bitch and moan if i get the inferior gs gpu, even though i can over clock it and it would be better than my gtx gpu. thats not the point, i had a gtx and i should get a gtx to replace it.... i will post when i get it. kinda excited but nervous i will get screwed... next one i will try to get a replacement for is my i6000d, but i will do that in a year, but it is souch a great computer i would hate to get something with problems

Yeah, recently they have been getting a little ridiculous with me. I did the 3dmark05 test on this new system and this got a 1500 and the old 9300 in sig got a 3600 lol

Might have been some server errors briankeyes. To my knowledge you haven't been reported for anything and I don't see why your posts would have been deleted seeing as you don't seem the argumentative type. Plus, there were some major issues yesterday that I don't have all the details on, but I knew were there.

yeah, so i got my replacement on the exact day that Dell said i would.. exactly 6 days after the order was put in, new system is in Sig, old one was a Gen2 with 2.13GHz 1GB Ram and 6800Ultra
