R51 Keyboard Not Working

Hi All,
After a normal shutdown, I later powered up the laptop and found that there was an Error Code stating that there was a "stuck key". This error caused the harddrive to not boot WinXP Pro. Actually, therre was no HD activity at all. I went into the BIOS just to see if there was anything that I could find and realized that the arrow keys did work. I was able to start WinXP Pro by pressing the F12 key after powering up. WinXP worked fine and all my programs are intact so I dont think the problem is specifically the Harddrive.Once I have Windows working, I can use theFunction keys but none of the other keys work. I tried to write a Command Prompt and still none of the keys worked.
Could theBIOS become corrupted and not recognize the Keyboard or could this be some glitch in Windows?
Any help would be appreciated.

My problem was Windows related.Somehow the keyboard software got screwed up and I remember I repaired it by using my copy of WinXP Home Edition. Since all I could use was the cd-rom, I figured I had nothing to lose. I had come to the decision that I was going to have to reformat and start over.
The Blue Button on the IBM R51 (used to reinstall Win XP when needed) did not work since the keyboard was down.
I tried this out of frustration and no one told me it was even safe to do. But, it worked.
Good Luck & let me know how it worked out.
