hi folks I`m finaly getting my dream laptop

CPU: core 2 duo t7600
memory : 2 gig
video: 7900 series
HD : 7200 rpm

I have been doing some serious research for several months on which high end laptop to get so far it has brought me to dell and hypersonic which seems to make good quality and so far I’m stuck I’m not sure what to choose. So I’m calling out all the lappy experts to help me solve this…which one to get dell m1710 or the hypersonic cx7 in terms of

Eye candy
Performance
Parts
Layout of system “ keybroad.. ,mouse, etc”
Heat issues..etc

So let me her your opinions pleasee

http://www.discountlaptops.com/index...egory_theme=c1 <---there you go! hypersonic has questionable tech support and average quality.... so getting the 5760 from either pctorque or discountlaptops you're saving paying the price premium that all hypersonics carry and get better tech support

So you've owned a Hypersonic?
and the Sager 5760 would have the same "average quality" as the CX7.

I would highly recommend the CX7, amazing machine, and from expirience, wonderful tech support.

How did it take you several months to find the best laptop that suits you? Within 3-4 months the technology keeps changing. I just find that odd.

here's the list of all (i think) clevo/sager resellers

www.RJtech.com
www.powernotebooks.com
www.hypersonic-pc.com
www.discountlaptops.com
www.xoticpc.com
www.pctorque.com
www.sagernotebook.com/index.html
www.pro-star.com

I'd probably go with the dell since it's more flashy. Only if you could get it for around the same price as the clevo/sager model. XPS support is better than the non-XPS support dell offers.

when do people actually use tech support? i only used tech support once when i got my first tablet and was confuse.

i said the m1710 because it look better and its very very well known and there are lot of great reviews. and its avail for a really good price at the forsale section from the dell resellers

i never owned an sager or hypersonic so i cannot comment.

i heared rumors about the m1710 keybroad layout that it sucks.. is that true?
it was fine for me.
they shouldve made the keys smaller and put a numpad in

My hypersonic CX7 is so good that I'm still too excited gaming/using it that I haven't written a review of it yet.
If you need a numeric keypad to input data, go with the Hypersonic b/c dell lacks that numeric keypad.

I am at graduate school (seminary) and almost everyone in classes has a dell or HP. I am definitely the only one with a Hypersonic CX7. You could get the most expensive Dell and someone w/a $499 special will say, "oh that's just like mine!" So for eye candy in that respect, the Dell crashes and burns.

Performance for my CX7 is superb, but I've no doubt I wouldn't be able to tell the diff w/ a Dell outfitted the same.

I take that back, if I had a Dell outfitted the same, it would always be churning away through all the suckware they put in it "for your benefit." My CX7 is free from suckware, so it runs better.

The other thing is when buying from Dell, you pay sales tax. I paid none for my Hypersonic, which could have been about $200, the cost of upgrading any given component.

So to review: Unique, no suckware, no tax.

The winner for me is...
Hypersonic

My experience with Hypersonic tech support is they answered my questions, but were't questionable at all.
My experience with my Hypersonic CX7 is that it is of superb quality compared to the Dells I've helped people with.

So ABF, sorry to hear you had questionable support and your own Hypersonic was average quality.
No wait, you didn't say that you ever had a Hypersonic or used their tech support.

No, you're thinking of the alienware 5750 or fujitsu siemens amilo laptops.

Notice the right shift key and surrounding areas

i simply brought to light that there have been people who reported having some issues with teh Hyper tech support...although it might not be the vast majority, there is still that chance. also, actual system quality will be the same because after all its just a clevo...but having a clevo with a good tech support vs a clevo with average tech support can make a difference. not to mention the price premium you're paying @ HPS thats really just a financial drain (unless you're investing into a Reflexions paint job)

My question abf is: Why even comment on their tech support/quality without ever owning a laptop made by the company?

you deserved the flaming.
