Being new to Alienware, and also new to AMD -- I'm a little confused as to what the difference is going to be between my AMD 64 FX-51 and the current top of the line Pentiums.
In fact... I was a little suprised to notice AFTER I ORDERED, that the FX-51 is actually 2.2 ghz -- which is less than my current 2.4 ghz pentium chip in my current computer!!!! Did I order a slower processor?
Anyway.... Can anyone shed any light on what my benchmarks are going to be (ballpark if nobody else has a matching machine out there)? Here is my ordered machine:
