I have a 8880
2.4 G
512 Ram
60 G HDD
cd-rw/DVD

thinking about buying anouther 512 RAM and a DVD-rw for the free bay...(or anouther HDD haven't decided)

if I buy 8887 parts off pctorque will they work with the 8880?

also if I bought both, how easy is it to switch back and forth?
10 min? 20?

It depends on the parts. For example, for RAM you have to open up the machine itself, for the battery you have to deal with several screws, etc.

So it depends on which, and how many, things you plan to switch around.

Cheers.
