Newegg has the G1 already?

WTH? I checked Newegg's site and it says instock. Is this a mistake or what? I'm asking here first because I got off work a little while ago, am tired, and cant' find the phone to even check!! That could be a deciding factor, as I wanted it under the tree on Christmas!!

Hmm, I personaly saw this too, from my understanding, I really doubt they have these in stock, but I suggest, call or email them, and ask. We have seen companies before stating "in stock" but they just do that to get your business, and then ship the product weeks later because they really don't have the items on hand. Also ask them if they consider this as a pre-order and to make it clear that this may be a pre-order.

Well I talked to a representative, and she said it was in stock and if there was anything else she could help me with. I politely asked if she could "make sure" because I would be a little angry if I ordered it and it wasn't. She then said that there were 11 in stock and that I would receive it within a week or so.

Make it 10 in stock now.

Well guys, wish me luck on my purchase. I only ordered from them because I wanted it under the tree for Christmas. I also chose the no payments for 6 months option, incase my mom decided to chip in

Well, that was the plan at least.

Now because I bought through Newegg, is there any way to get that third year warranty plan I've seen some places offer?

Still cant see why you downgraded from a better desktop, even after asking for advice on whether you should upgrade for a better "gaming" experience.

Heres a tip, don't ask for peoples opinions if your mind is already made up beforehand (i can see it was by your constant updates of newegg's stock).

My reasoning was I thought I was done with gaming. I had actually decided on a tablet until I realized that then my gaming would be completely over. I needed portability and the fact that I'll be able to do some light gaming delights me. I may still keep my desktop in the end if I realize that I will be heavily gaming, but I feel this was a great compromise.

I'll ask opinions when I want opinions, and make up my mind when I'm done. Thanks though, slick!

" Right now I'm looking at the A8JS to purchase for school, work, and overall gaming"
" My main area of concern is the A8JS and it's gaming capabilities. I'd like it to be an improvement over my current desktop"

You never mentioned you were done gaming at all. Gaming seemed to be your main comparison in the other thread. I was just annoyed because the first 20 posts of the thread said you'd get better system performance which is so wrong.

I don't only post on these boards. If you care so much about my life and interests, this is the original thread on the Hardforums: http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1121420
I'm flattered, regardless.

I guess I can take a gaming hit for portability, since I already purchased the laptop and should be happy with it. I didn't want a desktop replacement because that kind of defeats the purpose of the laptop, so I feel this is a great middle ground.

EDIT: Well Newegg offered free rush ordering and it shipped out UPS three day today, so I should be good to go. Wednesday it should come... but it may not get opened until Christmas! I would have loved to buy from some of the resellers on these forums but in all honesty, I wouldn't have saved that much and wouldn't have gotten the goods until after Christmas. I will however praise MileStonePC and C9tech with their unreal e-mail response and overall professionalism. I wish you guys had them in, I would have had no problem giving you my business.

Well it arrived today... But I waited to open it because I think my mom finally decided to pitch in. I'm sure user reviews/pics will be up fairly soon, as there were like 15 or so to begin with!
