New Gaming Problem

So i've been playing Splinter Cell's Chaos Theory lately, and this really weird sequence of things happen...
First off, SM 3.0 some times make everything go dark wireframe which gets really annoying, but what i can explain the most is when the NUM,CAPS, & SCR lock lights start blinking and the machine shuts down...this has happened about 4 times today and i cant figure out why..
I've been playing the game for a few weeks now, and this just started happening....

Well shat...the blinking lights thing also happens to farcry...this is really starting to piss me off..

So i reinstalled Win XP, and reinstalled chaos theory and its still doing it...so now it may be a hardware problem... any ideas?
