Hi i bought an acer aspire 3000 last year on the 19 november as an xmas present for my 8 year old daughter , it has ran very well for this amount of time except for the usual formats and system restores. Yesterday morning my daughter satarted her laptop up and guess what ? no keyboard or touchpad laptop was running omk just no input. So i shut it down and connected an external one that worked fine. Phoned acer support who had no idea what the problem was other than hardware and asked thata i get a proof of purchase from comet where i bought it .So i did .Guess what ! 2 weeks out of warranty after that acer didnt want to know just told me that i would be charged for repair (which i know would be expensive) now this wouldnt burn me so much IF she hadnt actually turned that laptop on till the 25/12(yes it was truthfully wrapped and put away the same day) what a kick in the teeth. So ...
1 Anyone know a solution to the no keyboard/touchpad thing other than using an external ?
2 Dont buy your presents before christmas ????? hows that for a joke because if anything goes wrong just one day after you purchased it your screwed. Then again how do you buy your xmas presents on xmas day lol
