So which setting should I use with my 6800 ultra 2gigs ram lappy with BF2142

I try using the pre-set at medium but still have video lag , specially inside Titans

Should I just put all in LOW? Does my lappy video card's time already over?

Do you have any problems in any other games? What are your 3dmark scores? What resolution are you playing at? Is it low framerates or an actual lag? Does it happen in single player too? Also if Im not mistaken, there is a bug that causes crappy performance inside Titans.

BF2 runs in my XPS at medium settings pretty well

Also I play FEAR so I think it should be easy to handle BF2142

About framerates, 3dmark score I dont know

About the single player version, I dont own the game I played the DEMO, so theres no sp in demo

I just put every single setting in low except the view distance thing at 100% and it works better but still lag

Its a weird game, seems like bugged, Im not sure that Im buying it

Is there a huge difference in graphics between BF2 and 2142? Cause I run BF2 at medium settings just fine

Sort of odd, I run BF2142 on mostly high settings on my 9300 *sig* so I'm not quite sure why you would be having problems running it on your 6800ultra. Anyway, ill keep my mind thinking of possible solutions

bf2142 has patch fix i think to make less lag in titans, demo prolly is laggy

Yeah the demo is crap... There is a known bug with the titans if moved that causes mass lag even on my system which pisses me off. The new patch has remedied some of this but it is still there a bit. You do have to remember though, when entering/exiting the titan, you are basically changing levels or in this case adding a level on top of the level you are playing which will increase memory and system usage as well.

I have learned to turn off quickset and a few other background programs and that helped too. I have all my settings turned on the highest and it runs great 60+ fps @ 1920x1080 except in some servers in the titan then I get like 1 fps.... that sucks.

Yeah, it's just the fact that the demo sucks. My D820 has a rather inferior video card to your 6800 and it plays 2142 just fine at 1024x768 resolution. This is the full game patched to 1.06 mind you. The motherboard on my desktop decided to crap out on me so I've been relying on my Laptop to give me my Battlefield fix.
