Inspiron 8600 upgrading questions

Alright, way back i bought an 8600 with a 1.5 Pentium M, 368mb Ram and an fx5200 32mb. I didnt play games so all was good. I recently bought an e1705 and put in a 7900 GTX so my new gaming needs are taken care of, however id like to give this laptop to my girlfriend since she really wants one. All she will be playing is The Sims 2. What should i upgrade for her to be able to play this game with great FPS with all settings maxed out? The screen resolution on the 8600 is 1280x800, so also not very demanding.

Is the Ati 9600 worth it to upgrade or the 5650? Would upgrading the ram be enough? I dont know much about the hardware in the 8600, so any help is appreciated.

I had a 8600, with a ATI 9600, and it was a decent lappy. If you can find the 9600 cheap, do it, since it really is a good upgrade compared to the 5650.

Ram: So-Dimm DDR333 or PC2700 I believe. You might want to put a little more ram in there; Min at the least 512MB.

And, like the prev. poster, if you can find an ATi Mobility Radeon 9600 Pro Turbo (M??), go for it.
