highly unlikely, technically i believe it is possible to change it for one that was offered at the time which the laptop was new. i cant remember if there was a 128mb card available at that point or not. the thing is that it wont gain you much performance and you cannot put in any of the modern cards.

The only reason I was wondering is that I run a program that has these system requirements

Minimum Requirements:

Allows minimal simulator functionality.
  • Windows XP*, 2000*, ME, 98
    * Local administration access required
  • IntelĀ® PentiumĀ® 1.0 GHz or equivalent
  • DirectX 9 (or above) feature-compatible video and sound card
  • 3D accelerated video card with 32MB (or more) RAM (e.g., Nvidia GeForce 5200, ATI Radeon 9600)
    Recommended video cards
  • 256 MB RAM
  • 1.3 GB hard drive space
Suggestions for Optimum Performance:
Enables complete simulator functionality.
  • Windows XP*
    * Local administration access required
  • Intel Pentium 3.0 GHz or equivalent
  • 3D accelerated video card with 128MB (or more) RAM (e.g., Nvidia GeForce 6800, ATI Radeon 9800)
    Recommended video cards
  • 1 GB RAM
When I try to run it I get an error message and the program shuts down

The website says that a geforce 4 440 go is compatable and my laptop has a 460 in it....
The video card is the only thing I can imagine thats causing the problem

The GPU is an integral part of the 5205's motherboard and, like most every laptop ever made, it can't be upgraded separately.

Does anyone think it could be something other than the video card.....there are links in the reply about the system requirements that might tell more than what I have offered
