I think I have a faulty WWAN card in my Dell XPS M1210.
The aerial is attached and the card is firmly in the socket. However, most of the time the card is not recognised by Windows. I can turn off the machine, reseat the card and then it'll either...
a) Be recognised by Windows with the USB "Hello" noise and all is well. Until a random time later when it will suddenly disconnect with the USB "Goodbye" noise.
b) Not work at all
c) Come up as a new device but drivers cannot be found.
Any suggestions on things I could try? Could I take out the WiFi card next to it and put in the WWAN card in order to test whether it's the card or the socket that is causing the problem?
Any one else had issues with this?
