Black smudge on the lower left of my screen.

Can't exactly tell what this is and unfortunately I have no way of taking a picture of it but for some reason recently I got a darkish area on the lower left hand of my LCD screen. Anyone have any ideas as to what it could be or a solution to the problem?? Only thing I can think of is a burn in on my screen. :/

some of the Samsung screens have a few pixels on the bottom corners that are a little dark (depends on each screen).

but without pictures from you its very hard to make any suggestions or help.

its kind of like calling your doctor and saying, I have this rash what can I do

Most people have darkish shading in the lower left and right corners. Not sure why it's there but you are not the only one. It doesn't bother me though.

Yes I have them too, but after 5 exchanges I don't bother anymore *sigh*

It's just the backlight doesn't have very good uniformity, it's not that big a deal.

I have an i9400 with the 1920x1200 screen (don't know what manufacturer) and I also have less backlight intensity in the lower corners. The backlight uniformity is actually pretty poor overall.

I'm willing to overlook it though, because everything else about this LCD is awesome. Great colour reproduction and a great contrast ratio, very little leakage, high viewing angles, etc.

I had it with my 9300. Both bottom corners of the screen. Like has been said, it did not bother me much. The screen was perfect otherwise. My E1705 does not have it. It is the LG screen. A bit of light leakage though. Not enough to worry about.

Man, when I turn on my laptop, my stupid LCD works, I hate it! It displays pictures, movies, games, etc... drives me crazy!!! I will never be happy if this continues to happen! So far I've had 20 LCD Replacements, same problem.

Get over the brand of LCD you have and just use it!!!

I have the same thing with the dark corners at the botton left/right hand of the screen. That is normal.

I would take the burn marks in the corners over a red pixel in the middle of the screen.
