Microsoft has a Vista Upgrade Advisor out now. Once you install and run it, it will tell you which programs would work fine with Vista, which ones you'll need to get a newer version of to work, and which ones won't work regardless. It will also tell you if your computer will be able to run the aero glass interface, etc. you can get it here

I can't direct you to a list of compatible/incompatible programs; as mentioned in a previous post the Upgrade Advisor should give you some insight into which programs are and aren't. However, I've been running RC2 for some time now and I thought I'd share the following info:

- Vista is very good about letting you know during install/opening of the programs if there are known compatibility problems.

- The compatibility mode options are 100x better in Vista than in XP and can solve a lot of problems.

- There's some programs that are incompatible with aero glass; but what's cool is when you run those programs Vista temporarily shuts off aero glass so you can use the application without problem and when you close it aero glass it automatically restored.

P.S. I'm loving Vista...honestly if there wasn't all these free upgrade offers from all the computer manufacturers this is the first version of Windows I would consider actually paying for :-P
