Network adapter problem?

Hi. My friend has a Amilo L7320gw and we cant get wirelss network card to work. On my dell I hit fn and f2 and then a little beakon pops up above my clock to tell me its enabled but when we do that on his nothing happens.

The laptop has a Atheros AR5005G and I cant find any info on this anywhere. The website has no support or drivers and such. Everything look ok in device manager.

What could be wrong?

i would try to un.install/re.install the device and see

verify that all devices in ur hardware manager have none of the "yellow dingy"
