Asus z70Va Bluetooth Problems

Thread Starter
Yeah, I know there's a sticky on bluetooth for the z70va, but no. It's not much help. So here's the story. When I first got the laptop, Bluetooth had trouble installing because there was a RAM issue. Once that was fixed, I reformatted and everything was fine. Bluetooth installed perfectly. After I reformatted again however, I did not bother installing bluetooth. Now, I need bluetooth, so I decided to install it again last month. When I tried, I kept getting stuck at 56% on the Toshiba Bluetooth Installation screen. I tried again a few days ago; same deal. I even disassembled my z70va, unplugged the bt module and replugged it in. Nothing. Thanks in advanced.

I'm having the exact same problem. Installed fine when I first installed, now after a reformat it gets stuck at 56%...what a pain. I looked at the ASUS site for the driver but I don't remember seeing it. Anyone have a fix for this?

Ressurecting an old thread because this issue has annoyed me to no end for 4 years.

I've had the same problem posted above but with an Asus w3n.

From the countless hours of reading and troubleshooting - I've found that I am unable to enable bluetooth through hardware keys and this is most likely due to my wireless console crashing.

I've installed it in a number of sequences - ATK100 first then wireless console - tried version 1 and 2... on xp, vista and 7 - all the same issue. After wireless console installs, it shows in the system tray but when i press fn+f2 it only gives me the wireless option - pressing hardware B key on the right media keys doesn't do anything. If I hover over the wireless console icon in systray it dissapears.

I've concluded that the native factory windows install has a different version of wireless console.

And YES i do have a bt module because I was using it fine when I bought the laptop. It wasn't until I changed the HDD and had to do a fresh reinstall (could not image the recovery partition onto the new drive).

Any help or similar stories would be greatly appreciated - why asus made BT so difficult to enable perplexes me to no end.
