m1210 stopped reading SD cards in 5 in 1 reader, help!!

My m1210 used to read my Sandisk SD cards just fine, but then I sold my digital camera. I bought a new one (same brand) and a new SD card (same brand since it worked great last time) and now it won't recognize the card!! I bought a new card and this one still won't be read. I never touched the drivers or anything! I tried updating the drivers (even though i already had most up to date), and it still won't recognize the SD cards!!

can someone help? I NEEd this function to work as I hate carrying around my USB dock just so I can look at pics when traveling.

I reinstalled latest drivers, no go. Tried uninstalling them reinstalling, no go. Cards work fine in my camera and in other computers. Havent tried other cards besides these 2.


Also, had to reinstall windows (not a clean install, had to repair some files so windows reinstalled itself thus saving my data). and it STILL does not work.

please help! i really need this to be working!

Hi my card reader in my 9400 hasnt worked for a while so i finally called dell and after trying a driver update the phone tech sent a technician around two days later and he replaced the mother board coz the card reader is not a sperate part and now it works fine.Which i guess it should after a complete replace of the mother board!!! Anyway piont is I hope you have warranty becuase it could be a real expensive fix otherwise,good luck with it.

SOme Scan DIscs are defective so try another brand of SD card, I have had Scan disc SD cards just stop working in the past.

samething happened to me

it just stopped working one day

tried reinstall driver few times.. no go..

not a big deal.. so i used USB to my phones, camera, and PDA

i had to reinstall windows, so i did

it works now

weird..

yup, same exact problem...wierd!

are you guys using the drivers from the dell website or what?
