Hello all,
I have a Pavilion DV8235NR with the Intel Centrino Duo 1.6 processor. I have really been happy with the thing except for the keboard issues. It seems as tho I am not the only one that has problems with the caps lock sticking as well as keys not activating sporatically when typing. Has HP come up with a fix for this yet? I have heard that it is not a hardware problem, but a problem with the Synaptics Pad software that is causing this. Is that true? Anything else that ya'll know of that can help?
Another question that I have is about the dual core set up. This computer seems a whole lot faster than just 1.6 GHZ. I was under the impression that the dual core really only shows its stuff so to speak when used with dual core apps and such. I have desktop pc with an Athlon XP 2400+ that is 2.0 GHZ and this 1.6 processor just seems a whole lot faster. What would this processor's speed compare to as far as single core? Would this ones speed be compared to something like a 2.8 single core? Thanks in advance.
