Vaio Z1 - how to disassemble the LCD ?

Hi ,

We all know that in order to open the LCD assembly one has to remove the screws and simply pop out the bezel .

But with this one , PCG-Z1VAP the bezel seems to cling on .

Anyone has a clue ?

Hidden screws ?

Special trick ?

Magic ?

I too am interested in this solution since i'm having the exact same problem, it is sticking together much more than other laptop LCDs that I have disassembled and I do not want to force it for fear of cracking some of the exterior plastic.

I learned this meanwhile :

1. remove 4 screws from the front bezel .

2. remove hinge covers .

3. slide black plastic which is on the lid and lift .

4. remove 2 hidden screws .

5. from the inside of the bezel insert fingers and carefully pry open .

DONE .

Whats the problem with yours ? Mine won't startup ( blinks green for a sec then dies ) .
