internet down PLZ HELP ASAP

hey guys, jsut got home, and found the internet on my PC is not working, i do not know why; i am currently on my dell laptop, with the same connection and it works eprfectly, just my pc cannot get a connection up. i have a standard dsl modem, and i have plugged in a wireless router so my laptop can connect to it. ok so i click on repair the Local Area Connection, and it tries but says it had a problem renewing the IP connection, can sum1 plz help me get this fixed asap, many thanks

Have you tried cycling the power on the modem and router, and rebooting your desktop?

try off all power. count 40 seconds, turn back on and stop using the internet to look at porn.

You know what, I just had the same damn problem with my hard line connection on my dock.... weird. Havent tried much yet as my wireless is fine. I just cycled power but havent tested the hardline yet. Do try the power cycling... You have a Linksys router I assume?

Could also be Malware related. You can download a fix called LSPFIX which can be found at http://cexx.org/lspfix.htm see if you can get that to fix the issue after trying the advice from above.
