WoW will run on almost anything so you dont need to worry about it.

yah WoW runs on intel GMA (that's the integrated graphics) pretty well actually, my friend uses his crappy school laptop for it while he does real gaming on his desktop. So pretty much anything released recently will be fine for WoW.

You can run WoW on a Dell E1505..just make sure it's got a 1GB of RAM and 256MB ATI MOBILITY™ RADEON® X1400 HyperMemory™ video card...that way you'll be ready to upgrade to vista as well and be ready for future games :-)

While it's true WoW will run on Intel Integrated Graphics, I would definetly spend the extra money upgrading to the better graphics card (256MB ATI MOBILITY™ RADEON® X1400 HyperMemory™). Otherwise he won't be able to play WoW as smoothly on the settings that he probably wants to play it on.

WoW isn't that dependent on the video card, so any reasonable card is fine (but don't get integrated graphics -- the game can run ok on that, but only with the settings turned way down, which you don't want).

WoW does use memory though and 512 MB of RAM is not enough. Make sure you get 1 GB of RAM.

Make sure you get 2GB of ram and any discrete video card (ATI X1400 or NVidia go6600 or higher).

RAM always made the biggest difference to me. 1GB = stutter/lag, 2GB = smooth.
