Constant overheating?

I have a np4881 and its about a year and some months old, and it is constantly crashing whenever i try to play any games besides war3 and hl1 engine games. Anything else the laptop will crash within minutes; the sound loops and the bars appear on the screen while the screen gradually goes white. Its been doing this ever since i got it but before it only happened to battlefield 2. Now its getting worse and worse. I assumed this was overheating so i went through almost all possible remedies: I popped the open the back and blew compressed air through the back, weird thing was it wasn't even dusty at all. i blew it through the fans. I went through two laptop cooling pads, and raised the laptop above the table about 3 inches and still the same thing. I set the processor to run at lower speeds and still no change. I don't even think its overheating anymore because ill start up the laptop and then start up battlefield rite after closing ALL unnecessary background processes,and within minutes it crashes. I'm desperate for answers and have no idea whats wrong.

that would happen to me as well...and then my laptop died. they said the logic system was failing and needed to be replaced.

for you though, it could just be an issue of graphic drivers
