dual core hotfix in a cx7?

I just ordered a cx7 with a core 2 duo 7400 processor, and just shuffling around the net I read some things about dual core processors having speed issues while playing games and that microsoft has released a hot fix of somekind. Does anyone know if this is true and if I would need one to get the most out of my cx7 and if possible how I would go about doing this? Thanks for your help. Oh, I'll post a review and some pics once I get my cx7 when I get it (I'm very excited about it).

I don't have any issues with my CX7, but with my AMD 4200+ X2 I had to install a patch for a couple games to run correctly. I have personally not had a problem with the Core Duo though.

Windows update didnot show me any driver updates for my cx7. I think you may have read about that problem with Alienware sending their 19" turions out with a normal athlon driver.
To get the most out of it, just change your power scheme to home/office.
And go to the nVidia control panel to make sure it's at 100% power when plugged into an AC.
I'm playing my games on maxxed res just to push the gpu, and no hiccups yet. [I have yet to try oblivion.]

And thanks for reminding me, I am overdue for my review :]

There is a Microsft KB update out that addresses dula core processors. Installing this patch will give you definitive results especially under Battlefield 2 and Oblivion if you are into those games. If you have a Intel based system you need only apply their one patch if you have an AMD system I believe there are about 3 total updates to make one of which is the aformentioned dual core update from Microsoft. Just Google dual core Microsoft patch and you will find the link to it quickly enough. Definately worth the time to do it. I own a Sager 5760 which is the same exact beast as your Hypersonic CX7 (Both Clevo units) and it made an obvious improvement after the first reboot.
