m6805 and Vista Ultimate

Thread Starter
Hi All,

I am running the Release version of Vista Ultimate on my m6805. Has anyone done this? Are there any recommended video driver's for the Radeon 9600 other than the default? System drivers?

Let me know your thoughts please.

I feel like this system is faster than my old XP install when running Vista.

No Way dude. I am running Vista Business on my m6811 and it is sluggish. On the initial boot it seems descent but after a while, it seems sluggish. I am not going to throw away my 2000 or XP cds just yet.

I used the the catalyst drivers which work beautifully! AMD bough ATI so I think this is the new link.

I think I am going to load Office 2007 Ultimate tonight to see how it works on my test box. Let me know how those video drivers work out.

stay away from the Realtek Vista driver. Just use the vista default. Synaptics has a vista driver for the touchpad, i just ignore it for now VIA has an IDE/PATA/SATA driver for vista, recommending it.

u might also want to invest in a usb 2gigo stick to use with vista ready.boost
i use a 4gigo at the moment (overkilling, but it is a free stick so can't complain much) and it is making quite a different

cheers ...
