I know you'll post again later if you find any issues, but as it stands . . .as we speak, I'd say you're very fortunate. Hope all is well, and congrats to you.

okay, just finished with a quick check, here's the result:

1. in bios, everything showed up correctly, but under my system, min clock is 795 instead of 800 and memory is .99 gb instead of 1 gb

2. the touch pad left and right bottons are steep and "loose"

3. plastic fan vent cover near the next to the s-video out is still there tight shut (i guess onboard video card does not require any air on that side?)

4. CPU fan not running. I think it should be on constantly whether its new or not lol

5. lcd white side stripes have paint blemishes

very disappointed, here i come Dell

1. That is normal variation of measurement within windows, don't worry.

2. Not sure what you mean...

3. If I understand what you are saying, also normal.

4. Why? It will turn on when the CPU starts to heat up, that is the way it is designed. If it is on all the time it just creates noise and consumes unecessary power. If it really bothers you, download i8kfanGUI and change the settings so it comes on earlier.

5. If it is that bad, go for a replacement.
