I have a trip to India coming up and I've found out last minute that I need a laptop.

I've bought Premiere Pro 2.0 since I have a student discount and it needs to be PC, but I don't know what to do for hardware.

$500-1000 would be the preferable price range, although I can go to $1500 if it's necessary.

I will be editing with miniDV.



I've heard:
5400-7200RPM drive,
512-1GB RAM
CPU???
GPU??? (not integrated)
APU??? (integrated?)
Screen size???
