internal bluetooth

anybody know how i can add internal bluetooth to the dv2100? sure i can do a usb dongle but its a pain in the butt to have to carry it around all over the place and worry about do i have it or did i forget it or will it accidentally bust (i'm a student) while i'm at school.

any ideas guys? i can't seem to find a part number anywhere for a bt module for this computer.

i've checked partsurfer, but i can't seem to find a bluetooth module for the dv2100. i'm pretty sure its out there but i just can't find the part number

About the only thing I can suggest is you find a model that comes with it, and search under that model number

Any of the dv2xxxx's with the AMD /NVidia GeForce 6150 should fit.

well, i continued my googling and found the hardware service manual with a part number in it

now if only hp wasn't out of the part, its only $38 which isn't bad

I don't need one... but for people that may, how about posting the part number.. and the part number of your unit.

i have a dv2100 and hp says that i need part number 397923-001 for bluetooth

I may be mistaken, but I think in order to get BT it is a combo wifi/BT broadcom based mini pciX card instead of the intel wifi card w/o BT. Im worried b/c I read that it doesnt work well when using BT and wifi at the same time. all unconfirmed but thought Id post neway.

i'm using an external bt adapter right now and i have wifi on and i'm having no issues. the way it looks for me, the bt is a separate card that i connect to the mobo, separate from the pciX card

also, is there anybody out there like an hp rep that can help me get this part? partsurfer will not let me buy it. it says part not orderable.

yes, i have the service manual and it is a separate card that you have to install directly to the mobo
