Could I sell the 300 Vista Rebate??

Hi,

I'm thinking about buying a new laptop. All the new laptops these days come with a 300$ rebate coupon for vista.

I was wondering if I could sell this coupon, or would there be something to prevent me from doing this. How much do you think it would sell for??

I'm hoping to drop the price of a 900$ laptop to 700 by selling the rebate for 200 on ebay or something.

(These are in canadian dollars.)

Thanks for your comments!

All coupons, even the ones that give you thirty cents off of a box of Cracker Jacks at Fry's, have that fine print on them.

.

Doubt that you will be able to sell the rebate.... as more than likely it is tied to the serial number of your machine if it's like all the other Vista Upgrade offers.

Regardless if you read the fine print more than likely MS has put something in there to keep you from doing so.
