Looking for suggestions on selecting a laptop from Dell.
I am a private consultant and need to have only one PC
whether I'm at the office or working from home or on the
road.
I don't do any gaming or large graphics work, except for
occassional Viso diagraming.
I will be using most of the MS Office programs, including
Access.
Weight is not as important as battery life, so I guess
an "M" processor is going to be my pick.
My other basic requirements are 30+gig hdd, >=512 RAM,
wireless b (g,a is a +), wired nic.
I will also purchase two sets of port replicator/ D/View Notebook Stand.
However, I've read that this arrangement is a bit
clumsy to insert/remove daily.
Also, any comments on these topics:
1. Recommended support/warranty options.
2. Display type (WXGA, SXGA, XGA, ?)
3. Recommended floppy drive / CD-ROM configurations.
(CD use is quite frequent, CDR is not a requirement).
Price is a concern, but ending up with a reliable system
that I don't have to worry about is more imporant.
Thanks, in advance for any suggestions.
