Yes, like the other poster said, your Vista DVD will contain both the 32 and the 64bit versions. As for which one to run, right now, with a laptop that has less than 4GB of memory, there is not much reason to run 64bit Vista. In contrast to what another poster said, there is no significant difference in speed, but the memory footprint of your OS will be significantly larger (in part due to the fact that you will run both 64bit and 32bit versions of a number of libraries, and in part because of inherent properties of a 64bit OS). In addition, you will see more compatibility issues if you run 64bit Vista. The only significant benefit of the 64bit version is better security, and the ability to address and use more (much more...) than 4GB of memory.
