8890 reboot problems and others

I have had my 8890 for almost 3 years. I have been "happy " with it, but very unhappy with it.

The standard USB connect/disconnect issues like all others. I dont know how many DVD's and CDRs that I have thrown away due to the USB problems.

I have not broken off my LCD monitor (yet)

The battery was useless after about 8 months. I use a line conditioner, so it was not my AC power that destroyed it.

Now my problem is that It will reboot when I am burning CD's or anytime that i am doing something "intensive". Nothing like losing my work and roaching more CDR's.

Anyone have any idea what could be causing this? It does it with 2K SP4 and with XP SP2.

I cannot think of anything , other than the 8890 is going to die on me soon.

I will never buy another SAGER, sorry... I bought it because I heard nothing but good things, but this thing has let me down tooo many times.

Not to mention the tech support that does NOT exist, other than OTHER SAGER users helping others. I was told 12 times that i would receive a replacement for my laptop keyboard so it would stop "slapping" when im typing! and guess what, never showed.. I got sick of it and fixed it myself with some 2 sided tape.

oh well.... if anyone knows why this thing is continallly rebooting that would be great!! thx!

When is the last time you removed the dust bunnies and dust filter (clog) from the heat pipes?
