Alright here we go
Acer Aspire 5100-5022 versus HP Pavilion dv6119us

Processor: Same, AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-50
OS: Same, Windows Media Center Edition
Video card: Similar, integrated ATI Mobility Radeon X1100 128 MB vs NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150 128 MB
Screen: Same, 15.4" WXGA
Memory: Same, 1 GB DDR2
Hard drive: 100 GB vs 80 GB -> Acer
DVD: Supermulti DVD burner, though HP has Lightscribe -> HP, though very little importance if you never use lightscribe discs
Extras: Acer: Orbicam integrated ... HP: HP Quickplay for movies, Altec Lansing speakers

I really cannot say that either has a distinct advantage over the other. Acer generally has lower sound quality, but that 20 GBs of hard drive could go a long way. Depends on what you do, whether you need the Lightscribe burner.. or the Acer webcam.

From looking at both at Circuit City, the Acer had the better display. I have to agree with Evaders99 that the Acer sound doesn't seem as good as the HP.
